Mangalore: Police to leave for Chennai for investigation
Mangalore, November 29:
A police team, formed to investigate the burglary involving Rs 2.05 crore
at a co-operative bank in Katipalla near here on Sunday, would leave for
Chennai to get further information, the additional Superintendent of
Police, Manjunath Annigeri, said.
The team had been constituted in the backdrop of police finding two Tamil
magazines near the lockers of the bank, Annigeri told reporters here.
Four separate teams, constituted on Monday, had left for Kerala,
Chikamagalur, Belthangady and Bantwal on Wednesday, he said.
The burglars had entered the safe lockers of the South Canara District
Co-operative Central Bank (SCDCC Bank) at Katipalla by drilling a hole in
the ceiling and decamped with jewellery & cash worth Rs 2.05 crore
