Konkanni cultural show in Bahrain
Claud- Reena steal the
show

After successfully staging the debut cultural programme in
2001, The “
Konkani Kutam” exhibited it’s amplitude magninimously in
displaying their
cohesion to launch their second cultural show to entertain the
crowd of
around 1000 gathered in Sacred Heart Church, Bishop Tirinanzi
Hall at 7.30pm
on 23rd May 2002. The Konkani Cultural Programme was organised
by “ Konkani
Kutam” under the patronage of “ Konkan Singers Club”.

Claud D’souza who is honoured with “Kalashree” for his
outstanding
contribution to singing & music in his individual performance
in gulf proved
his efficacy elegantly with veteran singer & “Melody Queen”
Reena D’souza to
enthrall the crowd judiciously. Reena D’souza is also a well
known singer in
Hindi, Marathi, Tulu & Gujrati. The galaxy of local singers
Jossy Sequeira,
Richard Pais, Sydney Correa, Maxy Sequeira, Muriel Gomes,
Samanta Andrade &
Baby Esther displayed their talents in singing to lend
credible support to the main artists.
The comedy skit “ Badyachi Bayl” written by renowned writer
CJS Taccode &
ably directed by Henry Almeida created laughing riot among the
crowd with
spectacular performance in acting by Hilary Tellis, Edward
Almeida, Gracy
Pais, Muriel Gomes,Charles D’mello, Cynthia Pais & Joel D’sa.

Prakash D’costa, Ivan D’souza, Alwyn Peres, Walter Noronha &
Stany D’souza
excelled in comedy for loud applause & the dance artists
charmed the crowd
with stunning performance.
“Harmonics” led by Joseph provided melliflous music.
Renowned M.C, Ronald Olivera proficiently compered the
programme.

Saldhana, President of Karnataka Social Club honoured Reena
D’souza with a
shawl & memento was presented by John Mascarenhas.
