Konkan Singers Club Bahrain one of the noted Konkani organisations in the gulf  organized  its annual Crowning of Konkan Queen 2002 at Falcon Lounge of Place in Hotel Bahrain on June 20, 2002. The hall was packed with members with their families and guest.

 The contest was open to all. Ms. Michele D`Souza  won the Konkan Queen 2002, Ms. Flavia Serao & Ms. Jessie Fernandes are first and second runners up. Crowning of Konkan queen 2002 by out going Konkan queen 2001 Ms. Valenka Rodrigues. There were many fabulous prizes were lined up for the winners which includes a return air ticket to any one of the major destination to India sponsored by Gulf Air, consolation prizes were also given to the participants M/S Gulf Cellar were the main sponsors for this events

14 year old Ms. Michele D`Souza, studying in 9th Standard India High School Bahrain. She is a proud daughter of Mr. Lawrence D`Souza & Mrs. Lucy D`Souza of Shirva parish.

 Live entertainment provided by “Sheer Magic” made everyone to dance and enjoy the evening. There were various entertainments by members children.

 President Mr. Clifford D’ Souza thanked during his speech all the participants, sponsors and members for their support for the success of the event.
