'EKUCH URLAM' A new Konkani play by Dolla,
staged successfully
A new Konkani play "EKUCH URLAM" (only 'one'
remains) written and directed by Dolla ( Adolfus Cutinha) was performed by
Konkan Karaval Kalakaar. Natural acting, splendid settings and lots of
comedy which ably supported by music and lights were the highlights of the
play.
Each and everyone participated in this successful play deserves a cheer:!
MickMax honoured by Konkan Karaval Kalakaar
Famous Konkani writer and Theatre activist, Mr. Michael M. D'Souza "Mick
Max" was honored by Konkan Karaval Kalakaar - a premier Konkani theatre
group of Mangalore, for his contribution and services to Konkani litterateur
and theatre.
"A trend setter in Konkani litterateur, with his creative and innovative
literary work, Mick Max has contributed many qualitative plays, novels,
short- stories and poetry to Konkani" - thus read a citation presented to
him by Rev. Dr. Baptist Menezes, Director of Fr Mullers charitable
institutions on behalf of Konkan Kalakaar.
Noted Konkani theatre personalities Mr. Geo D'Silva and Mr Dolphy Saldanha
were also present on the occasion, which was held in Don Bosco hall
Mangalore recently.
