District 1-A

Konkani community, a versatile journalist, and a very dynamic youth

D'Souza Prabhu is in the verge of history making in taking up the
monumental task of leading 94 clubs of Chicagoland area
In 85 years of history of Lionism, for the first time a Lion of Indian
origin has ventured to contest for the most coveted post of Vice District
Governor in its mother District of District 1-A.
Lion Austin took up the challenge of meeting humanitarian needs by his
pledge to serve in Lionism by joining Lions Club of Padil, Mangalore, 23
years ago. His over two decades of steadfast allegiance to the challenges
of the motto "We Serve", has showered upon him several awards, medals and
honors, from the leadership of Zone, Region, District and International.
In recognition of his dynamic leadership Broadview Kala Sampath Lions club
Proclaimed and endorsed his candidacy for the post of Vice District
Governor of District 1-A. His candidacy for Vice District Governorship has
been accepted by the District Cabinet. He currently enjoys overwhelming
support from various clubs and the District's Cabinet leadership. So far
he does not faces any contest from any members of 94 clubs of the
District.
His Campaign Committee, under the effective Chairmanship of Lion Vissia
D'Souza, has planned and arranged a gala Campaign Kick-off Party at
Skylite West Banquets, 7117 Ogden Ave., Berwyn, Illinois, on Sunday,
February 23, 2003 from 12:30 PM to 3:30 PM; with an advance donation of
$12 and $14 at the door.
This is an unique plaque to our own community. Let us all join to wish him
