India Konkani Music Festival in Madgaon

Madgaon,
December 20: On February 9th and 10th in Madgaon, Goa,
Konkani Bhasha Mandal, Goa will conduct First All India Konkani
Music Festival. Recently Konkani music has been improved in all
spheres. To encourage Konkani artists in this field, and make
it popular amongst Konkanis, Bhasha Mandal decided to hold this
Music Fest in 2002.
In this festival,
famous Smt. Kishori Amonekar, Shri Ajith Kadakade, Shri
Prabhakar Karekar, Smt. Usha Amonekar, Shri Eric Ozario, etc.,
will take part. Eric Ozario will present Mangalore music and 'Janapad'
music will be introduced by Sidhi group. Musicians and singers
from Mumbai, Delhi, Goa, Mangalore will show their talents in
this festival.
In the
concluding ceremony Internationally famous Konkani
singers/musicians like Shri Wilfy Rebimbus, Goa's Shri Remo
Fernandes will show their talents. Same day famous Konkani
singers and musicians will be felicitated by Konkani Bhasha
Mandal, Goa and also a historical souvenir.
