KCWA PREPARES FOR CHILDREN'S CHRISTMAS TREE
Kuwait Canara Welfare Association (KCWA) is an
organization of non-resident Mangaloreans living in Kuwait. The prime motto
of KCWA is providing financial assistance for poor children's education in
the Canara region. KCWA also prides itself of sponsoring a computer school
for disabled children at St. Agnes campus in Mangalore.
As part of its annual programs for the welfare of its members and children,
KCWA will be organizing Children's Christmas Tree on Friday the 6th of
December at the Indian Arts Circle Auditorium, Funaitees.
The day-long program which includes fancy dress, fun games, music, dance and
Santa's visit, will start at 930AM with the competition for KCWA members'
children followed by distribution of prizes to winners of various talent
competitions concluded recently at the Carmel School grounds. A skit/tableau
to convey the Christmas message will be presented by KCWA artists. Every
year KCWA rewards its members' children who excel in their academic
performance. Top scoring STD X & XII students of 2001/2002 will be honored
on this auspicious day with a merit scholarship and certificate
Jingle Bell, Jingle Bell, and Jingle all the way…. Santa arrives, children
rush to see him and queue up for prizes. Games will be conducted and
youngsters will now rush to the center-stage for dance. A golden opportunity
for adults to partake in various entertainment items and win numerous spot
prizes.
Renowned Caterer M/s Caesar's Group of Restaurants will provide the
delicious meal
KCWA management committee takes this opportunity to invite all KCWA members
and their families to take part in the event.
