Pre-University College at Kundapur

Rev. Fr. J. B. Crasta, the Parish Priest of Holy Rosary Church, Kundapur
was in Dubai recently. During his visit some of the Parishioners along
with members of Karavali Milan, Dubai met at one of their well-wisher's
house at Karama. They discussed about the various ways to raise funds for
the Pre-University College being built as an extension to the St. Mary's
School at Kundapur.

KANAJAR
WELFARE ASSOCIATION MUMBAI (KWAM) TO BE LAUNCHED
Kanajar Welfare Association (KWA) is an association of Kanajarians
living foreign countries mainly in the Gulf region. The main motto of the
association is the welfare of its members and the people of Kanajar.
Generating job opportunities through sustainable welfare projects and
preparing the Parish for future generations are the associated objectives.
In this direction, Lourdes Healthcare Hospital project (first phase),
currently under construction in Kanajar is all set to be commissioned in
February 2003 and many other projects are in different stages of
implementation either collectively or through individual investments.
Established in Kuwait in March 2000, the Association has successfully
spread its wings in Bahrain, Qatar and UAE with a consolidated membership
of over 300. Consequently, a strong bondage has been established between
all Kanajarians irrespective of their place of domicile.
Continuing with this mission, Kanajarians residing in Mumbai have now come
forward to form their association in Mumbai. Around 100 Kanajarians living
in various suburbs of Mumbai are expected to get-together in Kanajar's
historic Lourdes Club premises in Ghogha Street, Fort Mumbai on 1st
December at 9.30AM. KWA international Convenor, Mr. Lawrence Saldanha
Kanajar will address the gathering and apprise members of the principles
and objectives of the Association and also update them on the
developmental projects in Kanajar. All Kanajarians living in Mumbai are
requested to avail this opportunity to meet their fellow Parishioners and
establish new bondage of friendship.
