Jasmine D'Souza grabs second place in Mrs. World 2002
Las Vegas, January 20: Mrs. India 2001
Smt. Jasmine D'Souza grabbed first runner up place in Mrs. World
2002 pageant which held here last night. It is a great honor to
India's married women especially for us Konkans because our own
daijin became the second best in Mrs. World 2002 beauty
contest. When she was asked how she was affected with September
11 terrorist attacks in the U.S., she replied that her one
brother is living in the U.S. and she was shocked to hear the
news. India is experiencing such terrorists attacks for the
past two years she said and she is against this kind of
violence.
Jasmine says that she was the proud mother of a daughter and
would adopt another one, if offered a chance. The offer she
would reject, she said, was one made in the Hollywood movie
Indecent Proposal. Jasmine said she has been modeling for last
five years so she won't face any problems in the future in her
career. She believes that a woman's career need not end after
marriage and instead should take off.
