Members of the Mangalorean Konkan Christian Association, Chicago
met with Msgr. Fred Pereira, Vicar General of the Diocese of Mangalore.
Msgr. Pereira concelebrated Holy Mass at St.
Hubert's
Church, Hoffman
Estates,
outskirts of Chicago
at 12:15
p.m.
After mass members of MKCA gathered at Mr. James-Rita Saldanha's residence
at Schaumburg
and had a delicious meal with Msgr. Pereira.

After
lunch Msgr. Pereira gave a presentation on St. Joseph Engineering College of
Mangalore Diocese and distributed appeal forms to the members present.
He also explained the goals and need of financial help from philanthropists
for this first ever KonkanCatholicEngineeringCollege
in Mangalore. Mr. John Dias, welcomed the gathering and introduced
Msgr. Pereira. Ms. Jacintha D'Souza explained Msgr. what MKCA is and
asked blessings on this new association. Mr. Larry Mascarenhas
proposed vote of thanks and thanked all the participants and asked them to
help our NewEngineeringCollege
in Mangalore. Mr. Austin Prabhu made a special request to Msgr.
Pereira to have Mangalore Diocese official circulars published on world
famous DaijiDubai
website so that world Konkani population become aware of the happenings and
the new rules and regulations in the diocese of Mangalore.
Under the leadership of Prof. Frank Dias, M/S. Joshua Dias, John Paul and
Mrs. Queenie Mendonca adults and children had a Konkani and English choir
and carols practice for the Konkani Mass on MKCA Christmas Celebrations on
