Bahrain- March 15:Dynamic and
well known young leader, Mr. Clifford D`Souza was elected
president of Konkan Singers Club Bahrain, for the year
2002-2003. His election was announced by out going president Mr.
Felix Sequirea during the Annual General Meeting held here on
15th March 2002.
The Konkan Singers Club established in
1978, is noted as one of the prestigious community organisations
in the gulf. This Club is well known for its charity work
back home as well as promoting cultural events in
Bahrain. Various Noted Konkanni singers
and artists have performed in Bahrain under the patronage of
Konkan Singers Club.
Mr. Lawrence D' Costa and Mr. Santhosh
Monteiro were elected as General Secretary and Treasurer
respectively.
During the meeting, members applauded
the out going President Mr. Felix Sequeira and his team, for
their outstanding services for the club.
