Vicar Gen. Monsgr. Fred Periera visits gulf & USA to seek support for Engineering College

The great felt need of the Mangalorean Christian Community has been fulfilled by the establishment of ST. JOSEPH ENGINEERING COLLEGE at the serene and beautiful campus of about 30 acres in Vamanjoor, Mangalore by the Diocese of Mangalore. The inauguration of the maiden academic year was held on 23rd September 2002.

SJEC is a dream project of the Mangalorean Catholics spread throughout the globe. To brief the functioning of the Engineering College and thereby involve the people of goodwill in this project the Convener of the College and the Vicar General of the Diocese of Mangalore Rt. Rev. Msgr. Fred V. Pereira is now on a tour to the Gulf countries and United States of America. He left Mangalore on 28th October and so far visited Qatar and Kingdom of Bahrain. We are happy to note that in the above 2 countries his mission is successful.
