KCWA TO STAGE “DOTHOR DAMYAON” IN KUWAIT

Canara Welfare Association (KCWA), one of the largest charitable
organizations in Kuwait of non-resident Canarites (Mangaloreans),
predominantly Christians, living in Kuwait. With a prime motto
of helping Education to Poor Children back home, KCWA has so far
contributed over Rs 30 lacs for the cause and continues to do
so. KCWA also prides itself of sponsoring a Computer School for
disabled Children at St. Agnes Special School at a total cost of
Rs35 lacs.
With several milestones in the fields of Art, Culture, Sports
etc., encouraging members’ children in various non-curricular
activities, providing members with opportunities to develop
talents, KCWA is now all set to stage a well known Konkani drama
“Dothor Damyaon” on Thursday, the 25th April 2002 at Indian Arts
Circle, Funaitees Kuwait. Translated by Mr. George Pinto, a
popular Konkani Writer from Mangalore and will be directed by
well known Konkani Artist Mr. Lancy Rodriques, the 2 and half
hours play will provide the audience with a rare entertainment
of comedy-packed performance by non other than highly talented
artists of KCWA.
