CHRISTIAN CHAMBER OF COMMERCE & INDUSTRY MAKES
HISTORY
Mumbai - - The
Annual General Body Meeting of Mumbai's Christian Chamber of
Commerce and Industries was held at Kohinoor Continental Hotel
at J.B. Nagar Andheri on Saturday August 3rd 2002.
Mr. Antony Rasquinha (Chairman and Managing Director of
Electronumatics and Hydraulics Limited), Mr. Errol D'Souza
(Director - Franco Indian Pharmaceuticals) were the chief guests
Mr. Vincent Mathias - the Chairman, of Christian Chamber of
Commerce and Industries welcomed the attending guests and gave
short introduction of the chamber and its activites. Mr. Albert
D'Souza (Managing Director - Printania) introduced the chief
guests to the audience. Mr. Errol D'Souza explained why
Christians must come forward and start their own business etc.
Mr. Rasquinha explained the importance of workers to any
industry and if the workers are looked after well, the industry
will prosper and employees will develop a sense of
responsibility towards their organization. Christians have the
ability to research and to develop our industry through modern
techniques and so our talented people should come forward and
start their businesses. To facilitate this he stressed the need
of Christian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
On this occasion an amount of 10 Lakhs were pledged towards the
development of our industries by various attending
industrialists. With this collection the Christian Chamber of
Commerce and Industry created history and showed the unity among
the Christian industrialists.
Mr. Lawrence Coelho of Divo and Director Chamber of Commerce
delivered the vote of thanks followed by humours poetry recital
by Mr. Mahesh Dube and others, which raised waves of laughter
and was applauded by the gathering.
The programme was followed by sumptuous dinner.
The whole programme was brilliantly conducted by Mr. Atul Rego.
