'Rostad' Tiatr: created record at Kalangann

The fourth programme of the monthly theatre series at Kalaangann was  presented on Sunday April 7th 2002. A 'Tiatr' titled 'Rostad' by the King of Tiatr- "Prince Jacob" and his team from Margao ,Goa was successfully exhibited.

A record of sorts was created. For the 1st time in the 110 years of  the history of 'Tiatr', this tiatr was performed without the use of curtains, but only with the lights effective use. The houseful audience at Kalaangann was treated to the best possible  entertainment. For the tiatr group also this was an unique experience. They were thrilled with the beauty of the "Noreen &
Ronald Mendonca's open-air-theatre" at Kalaangann and promised to  come back every year to present their best.

The next monthly theatre will take place on May 5. Fr. Charles Vaz  and his Sangeeth Abhinay Academy, Mumbai will present their international famous song and dance performance. Cultural hours of Mangalore are looking forward to the monthly theatre performances being presented by Mandd Sobhann on the first Sunday of every month.
