Doha: Kimberly Fernandes & Lloyd D`Silva among the Inter-School contest winners
WINNERS of the inter-school essay writing and
painting contests, organised by the Department of Health Education, Ministry
of Public Health, in association with Mental Health Society, have been
honoured at a function.
The contests were held in the senior and junior categories. The following
are the winners, in the order of first, second and third prizes:
Essay writing: Juniors - Kimberly Fernandes (Ideal Indian School).
Jibin George Koshy (MES Indian School), Ian Nelson Mallari and Porzia
Kahalan (Philippine International School) .
Seniors - Lloyd Joel D’Silva (MES), Salman Bashar (Bangladesh MHMH
School) and Hazel Crasto (Ideal).
Painting: Juniors - Amit Kurien (MES), Aljun A Baclagan (PIS) and Aravind
Rajan (Ideal). Seniors - Prasanth Prahladan (Ideal), Arunabha Karmakar (MES)
and Mhel Jhun Jaypee P Parcon (PIS).
Dr Ahmed al-Ibrahim (director, Preventive Health Department), Dr Tahir
Shaltoot (consultant, Psychiatry Department, Hamad Medical Corporation), V P
K Abdulla (advisor and acting general manager, Abdullah Abdulghani and Bros.
Co.), Gafoor Irinjalakkuda (managing director, Al Qareen Trading and
Contracting Establishment) and Kareem Abdulla (Malabar Association) gave
away the prizes.
The mental health campaign is supported by Abdullah Abdulghani and Bros.
