Chicago, November 5: Stany D'Souza was recognized by Illinois Social Workers Association of Illinois(ISWAI) on November 2 during their Annual Cultural Program. The Plaque reads: "ISWAI gratefully acknowledges the significant contributions of Stany D'Souza (Child Protection Manager, State of Illinois, Department of Children and Family Services). He has given generously of his time and talent to the direction and growth of IDCFS."  Signed by Biju Thomas, President and George Vennalasseril, Secretary of ISWAI.  Stany was recognized along with George Vennikandam, Associate Deputy Director, Division of Purchase of Services of IDCFS.

It was a gathering of about 800 people, where Indian cultural dance and concert were held.  Currently Stany is assigned with six investigative (child abuse and neglect) teams and three intact teams, with a total staff strength of about sixty professional social work and support staff.  He is responsible to provide investigative and intact services for about 30 northern suburbs of Cook County and North part of Chicago.  This regional coverage consists of seven Local Area Network Sites of IDCFS.  Stany is very active in community affairs.  He is the president of Broadview Kala Sampath Lions Club and a Zone Chairman of District 1-A, Lions Clubs International.  He married to Vissia and have two kids: Shawn and Shannon.
