Reshma D'Souza received Ph.D.
Manipal, September 6: Under the guidance of Manipal Pharmaceutical College Principal, Dr. N. Udupa, Ms. Reshma D'Souza wrote a thesis, 'Evaluation of Drug Delivery Systems Containing Protein and Peptides as Therapeutic Motives' which earned her prestigious Ph.D. by Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE). Indian Centre of Medical Research, New Delhi gave financial help for Dr. Reshma D'Souza's research studies. Now Dr. D'Souza became the first ever Pharmaceutical College representative to receive Ph.D.

Raghavendra Rao, Secretary; Mr. Joachim Stany Alvares, Joint Secretary and members of the executive committee: Mr. Basti Vaman Shenoy, Mr. Gopala Gowda, Dr. Kasturi Mohana Pai, Mrs. Vasanthi R. Nayak, Mr. William D'Souza, Mr. Vithoba Bhandarkar, Mr. Rony Arun, Mr. Venkatesh N. Baliga and Mr. Paul Moras.
Catholic Board
of Education felicitates teachers Mangalore, September 5: 51 teachers and staff members those who worked for Catholic Board of Education schools and retired were felicitated by Bishop of Mangalore and president of Catholic Board of Education, Rt. Rev. Dr. Aloysius Paul D'Souza at Bajjodi Shanthi Kiran Auditorium. Simultaneously talented students and schools who showed top performance were also awarded and felicitated by bishop.Board of Education secretary, Fr. Bonaventure Nazareth, Fr. Vincent Monteiro were present. Catholic Board Education established 225 school-colleges and running in undivided South Kanara District. Because of teachers' unselfish service in these Catholic Institutions, students are getting disciplined education, moral values and teachings. This year 40 teachers from CBE schools/colleges have received Best Teacher Awards said bishop. On behalf of awardees, retired teacher from Naravi High School, Mr. Babu Shetty replied to felicitations.
