Edwin J.F. D`Souza is
among the favourite Indian writers

The long awaited
collection of Short Stories edited by the renowned
journalist Kushwant Singh and Smt. Neelam Kumar has now
been published and available in the stands for sale.
It includes best of the two short stories translated each
from the seventeen Indian Languages into English. The book
has been published by the famous Jaico Books, which
contains 434 pages. The cost of the book is Rs. 225.00.
Two short stories of Konkani - 'A Cup of Hot Coffee' by
Edwin J.F. D'Souza and 'A Hippie Girl' by Chandrakant Keni
have been published in this book and represent Konkani in
the national level.
Edwin J. F. D'Souza's short stories have earlier been
published by the Akademi of Letters, New Delhi in its
publications titled "Contemporary Indian Literature" and "Pratichi".
They have been transcribed into devnagari and roman
scripts and published in various goan periodicals.
Chandrakant Keni was the Editor of Konkani's only daily
newspaper "Sunaparant" and has won the National Award for
his collections of short stories by the Akademi of
Letters, New Delhi.
