It was an unprecedented scene at the gate of
Indian Arts Circle Kuwait where Konkan Kogul Shri Wilfy Rebimbus was
presenting his 210th musical concert organized by Shirva Welfare Association
Kuwait (SWAK). Over 400 people after being stranded at the gate to secure
entry pass had to return home disappointed due to capacity crowd of 1,200
already in the Auditorium when show commenced on the dot at 630PM.

Mr. Hilary Mathais, the vice-president of SWAK, welcomed Mr. Walter
Nandalike of diajidubai fame and renowned Konkani compere, specially flown
in from Dubai, who then introduced visiting artists Wilfy Rebimbus, Meena,
Veena & Vishwas.
Mr. Mathais then welcomed the Chief Guest for the day Mr. Francis Xaxa,
second secretary of Indian Embassy, the orchestra team and the audience. On
this occasion, the cassette and CD of 34th edition of Wilfy’s songs
collection was released by the Chief Guest, who appreciated the efforts SWAK

Wilfy's 34th
cassette/CD released
The President and the chief organizer Mr. Adrian Gomes deserves the full
credit for providing scintillating music for selected 17 songs for the show.
While the show was centered around the Konkani music hero, Wilfy, it was
Meena, Veena, Vishwas and local singers Rony, Jasmine and Jason who offered
their best in ensuring the top class entertainment for the evening. Needless
to say the orchestra team was equally best in its performance. Johnny
Suratkal, Lancy Rodriques, Valerian D’Souza, Anil Menezes and Jason Lasrado
entertained the audience with their outstanding performance of mimicry
skits. Ballerine’s Dance Academy headed by Sudhi and Jyothi presented
excellent dance performances.
