Pernalites' Vhodlem Fest – A Spellbinding
Event

Pernalites' 'Vhodlem Fest – 2002' was grand a success.
'Vhodlem Fest – 2002' was celebrated exceptionally well. That was determined
when the morning at Dubai's President Hotel's Maharlika saw a jam packed
crowd of above three hundred fifty people, plus about fifty odd people going
back home due to non availability of Entrance Tickets. How do U.A.E.
Pernalites manage to attract such a huge crowd?
It was definitely due to the thumping
success of their last programme 'Varshikotsav 2002' held in April this year
in order to celebrate completion of the first year of their forming 'Pernal
Zamath'. And this time, celebration of their parish feast was nothing but
much more impressive extension of their previous successful event!

The day was full of pure masti. No formalities, no waste of time due to long
boring speeches, no lengthy Reports. Just fun, fun and fun from the
beginning till the end. The Compere (emcee) was unique and stylish, the
function was full of innovative programmes. The day started at 11.30 am with
Prayer, followed by Prayer Dance.
The morning witnessed many dances,
comedy skits, group games, music and so on. Dances by children as well as
elders of the Zamath, were hugely applauded whereas many skits by the trio –
Lawry, Wilfy and Dinesh were more than enough to laugh somebody's lungs out.

Various spot games conducted by the Compere were really a good time-pass.
Live music by the famous music troupe 'West Breeze' stole the show with
their stupendous performance. All the items were well organised and
fantastically presented.
The hall had much more to enjoy – foodstuff stalls, sweets vendors and
various contests.
The afternoon session had an entirely different type of entertainment.
There were many prizes, contests and of course non stop bayla at the end of
the show. Delicious buffet lunch was also served. 'Vhodlem Fest' concluded
at 6.00 pm.

Groups like Pernal Zamath are formed to unite people of a parish and bring
them occasionally under one roof as one family, one group. And Pernal Zamath
has been totally successful in all their objectives. 'Vhodlem Fest – 2002'
was indeed memorable for guests as well. When are Pernalites coming together
in such a grand style again?
